Armor

With the advent of firearms, armor had initially become outdated with the usage of helmets and combat fatigues replacing traditional plated armor and chain mail used in the past. However, some advancements in the field of armor have recently occurred after the old world with thick, bulky steel and titanium fuel-powered suits which are worn by the individual. These suits are typically able to be used for a couple of fights before needing to be refueled, the fuel being necessary for them to manipulate the heavy machinery.

Common foot soldiers and infantry don't use armor as much still, preferring the extra mobility over having armor which absorbs some of the kinetic energy yet still doesn't totally prevent harm.

Personal Armor

Armor worn by foot soldiers and infantry, these are worn over regular clothing in order to protect the individual's vital organs. Some armor is more restrictive to mobility than others.

Battle Helmet

Battle helmets are durable steel helmets worn to protect its wearer against shrapnel and small arms fire. Different designs of battle helmets exist, however most follow a similar formula due to the overall quality of the protection offered.

Battle helmets reduce any shrapnel damage you take by 5, and imposes a +2 TN to any individual trying to shoot your head. On a successful hit of your head, you can choose to have the helmet be shot off in exchange for not taking any damage.

Ballistic Vest

When armor is worn by soldiers, the ballistic vest is the most common kind worn over standard fatigues. It is comprised of ceramic plates under a vest which can be removed and replaced easily. These ceramic plates absorb much of the impact from a bullet, making sure the bullet doesn't penetrate the wearer and allows them to be helped by medical personnel better than if they had been shot and pierced. Despite their protection, injury still occurs from deflected bullets, even if they are more minor than they would be normally.

Ballistic vests reduce any shrapnel damage you take by 10. Damage from ballistic weapons are reduced by 5 on a successful hit, and reduce the Integrity of the ceramic plate by 1. Ceramic plates have an Integrity of 4, and once its Integrity reaches 0, it offers no protection - not even against shrapnel.

Ballistic vests cost 2,000 Serpents. Replacement ceramic plates cost 1,000 Serpents.

Powered Armor

A newer invention acting as a pilotable suit of armor, powered armor is bulky, inflexible, and incredibly slow. However, it makes up for this with its defensive capabilities, completely shrugging off most ballistic and traditional weapons, and have enhanced power behind its punches to make getting up close and personal a greater danger.

Unlike regular armor, Powered Armor requires fuel to function and without fuel the armor will be almost completely unusable by the wearer. Because of how difficult they are to damage, they are often high priority targets when one is spotted.

Mk. 1 Volsovo Suit

One of the earliest designs which is still updated to this day, the Volsovo has a simplistic elegance to it as it uses the bare minimum in parts while retaining all of the necessary features of Powered Armor. This sacrifices some of the quality of life features as well as the more specialized needs, but does its job as a standard piece of armor. They are often painted either in their country's colors or in a way the wearer desires, as the bulky and inherently loud nature of the armor makes camouflage pointless.

A Mk. 1 Volsovo Suit costs 1 Fuel per hour to operate with a maximum capacity of 5 units of Fuel. While worn you and the armor do not suffer any shrapnel damage, and the armor negates ballistic and traditional weaponry from dealing damage to the wearer inside at the sacrifice of 1 Integrity with the Volsovo having a total of 35 Integrity. Direct hits from explosives and certain other high-powered attacks sacrifice 2 Integrity instead, with some modifiers increasing this higher. Wearers of Volsovo armor reduce their movement speed by 1 hex, and increase the TN of all Physical skill checks by 1.

Hellsuit

A product of the Holy Kingdom of Light, the Hellsuit is a durable and highly armored suit of power armor which seeks to not only maximize defenses, but enable the wearer to become a walking biohazard. Unlike some suits of power armor which utilize integrated weaponry such as firearms or wrist-mounted blades, the Hellsuit trades that out for canisters of bioweapons and hazardous gas which they unleash as part of their march into the enemies' fortified positions. Their intimidating appearance as an inhuman block of steel only adds to their intimidation factor, the only thing indicating what is controlling it being the armored arms and legs visible on the sides.

A Hellsuit costs 1 Fuel per hour to operate with a maximum capacity of 4 units of Fuel. While worn you and the armor do not suffer any shrapnel damage, and the armor negates ballistic and traditional weaponry from dealing damage to the wearer inside at the sacrifice of 1 Integrity with the Hellsuit having a total of 30 Integrity. Direct hits from explosives and certain other high-powered attacks sacrifice 2 Integrity instead, with some modifiers increasing this higher. Wearers of Hellsuit armor reduce their movement speed by 1 hex, and increase the TN of all Physical skill checks by 2. In addition to this, Hellsuits have two canisters integrated into the armor which can be used to hold toxic gas of any kind. Opening these canisters to unleash onto the foe is a Major Action. Your armor is sealed enough that the gas won't affect you, however this is not the case if your Integrity is at half or lower.

Montefer Interceptor Armor

Montefer Steelworks Companies' answer to power armor, the Interceptor Armor is lighter than most types of Power Armor and is designed in a similar way to their weaponry and other products - elegant, simple, and effective. Unlike most forms of power armor, the Interceptor is lighter than normal - though not quiet by any means. Its design fools the untrained eye into believing it is merely fancier battle armor being worn, however the exhaust fumes leaking from the suit tell a different story as the machinery guides its wearer.

Montefer Interceptor Armor costs 1 Fuel per hour to operate with a maximum capacity of 3 units of Fuel. While worn you and the armor do not suffer any shrapnel damage, and the armor negates ballistic and traditional weaponry from dealing damage to the wearer inside at the sacrifice of 1 Integrity with the Interceptor Armor having a total of 26 Integrity. Direct hits from explosives and certain other high-powered attacks sacrifice 2 Integrity instead, with some modifiers increasing this higher. Unlike most power armor, the Interceptor Armor doesn't restrict movement speed nor one's performance with physical skills. In addition to this, Interceptor Armor comes with a wrist-mounted blade which functions as a Combat Knife save that it is unable to be disarmed, and the Effortless weapon special ability in place of Agile.
